Boat identification

Post by Fayelinnie » Fri May 11, 2018 8:10 pm

Hi, I wonder if you could help me identify the age and model of this Shetland. It's 17ft long and has no identification numbers unfortunately.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how to upload a photo on here?!

I think only full members can post pictures. Full membership costs £5 for lifetime. A picture will probably identify your boat.

There is NOTHING--absolutely nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.

Thank you Admins!!

Here is my boat. I brought it as a Shetland but no model or age known. Does anyone recognise it?

Since beginning the restoration process there is a lot of 'brown' water been found between the double skinned bottom. Any ideas of where this water has entered? When I've tipped the boat forward the water trickles at a slow rate suggesting it is slowly draining from some sort of material between the two skins. Can anyone shed any light on this please.

Thank you in advance

Faye

This is the shape of the back of the boat. 2 seats either side of the outboard. Completely moulded.
